[‘Portage Power’], a subsidiary of Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc., is the largest municipally-owned producer of green power in the province of Ontario. Portage Power owns and operates 16 run-of-the-river hydroelectric generation plants in Ontario, Quebec and New York, and has 16 solar installations across the city of Ottawa.
It holds majority interests in two landfill gas-to-energy joint ventures that produce clean, renewable energy from methane gas at landfill sites in Ottawa and Moose Creek.
